Erpeldange-sur-Sûre is a quiet village located at the junction of the Oesling and Gutland rivers in the north-east of the country. The municipality of Erpeldange-sur-Sûre comprises three communities: Erpeldange/Sûre, Ingeldorf and Burden.
The municipality belongs to the canton of Diekirch and is an integral part of the urban area known as \"Nordstad\", which includes the municipalities of Bettendorf, Colmar-Berg, Diekirch, Ettelbruck and Schieren. Erpeldange-sur-Sûre Castle was built in the 12th century as a water fortress. The castle was temporarily used as a church, and now houses the municipal administration.
The area around Erpeldange-sur-Sûre is a walker's paradise. A total of 34 hiking trails and 16 cycle paths criss-cross the region and invite you to explore.
Direct access to the A7 Route du Nord takes you to Kirchberg in just 30 minutes. The towns of Ettelbruck and Diekirch are just 10 and 6 minutes respectively by car.
